TK at the LCBO

Tripel Karmeliet is brewed by Brouwerij Bosteels in Buggenhout, Belgium. It was first brewed in 1996, though it uses a beer recipe from 1679 (according to Wikipedia).

This is a beer I’ve had the pleasure of drinking a few times at Bar Hop, and recently showed face at the LCBO (in addition to some other awesome Belgian brews). It’s also one of those rare brews that has a rating of 100 on ratebeer.

It’s an 8.5% tripel that doesn’t taste strong or sweet. Instead, it’s refreshing, fruity and floral. It’s a really nice summer beer. Cheers.
